As a patient, we know you probably have a ton of questions about your eye health, and we're here to help! We’ve compiled some commonly asked questions and important terms to guide you on your journey toward healthier eyes. And don’t worry, we’ll make sure to sprinkle in a bit of fun along the way. Who says learning about your eyes can’t be fun?

What is Myopia?

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is what happens when your eyes decide they’re more interested in close-up drama than the big picture. It's like they’re saying, “Why look at the trees in the forest when you can study this one leaf in stunning detail?” You're constantly missing road signs and having a hard time distinguishing people that are waving at you, congratulations—you’ve joined the Myopia Club! Don't worry there is always something we can do; glasses, contacts, and surgery can help your eyes appreciate the distance they’ve been missing.

What is Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is like your eyes hitting the ‘over-the-hill’ milestone. One day, you’re reading a menu just fine, and the next, you’re holding it at arm's length like it’s some ancient scroll. Luckily, there are plenty of modern fixes! Progressives are magical glasses that help you focus at distance, intermediate vision (like computer work), and reading—all in one. Prefer contacts? Multifocal lenses have you covered across all ranges too. And if you’re really serious, there are even surgeries to give your vision the VIP treatment. Who said aging can't come with upgrades?,
