General Eye Exams
Most adults benefit from a yearly eye exam to monitor changes in vision and check for early signs of eye disease. Children should have their first exam around age three, then once a year after that unless a doctor recommends more frequent visits.
A complete exam includes checking your vision, evaluating how your eyes focus, and looking closely at the health of the front and back of your eyes. We screen for issues like dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal conditions. The visit is comfortable, and most tests are quick and painless. It’s way easier than the dentist!
No referral is needed. You can schedule directly with our office whenever you’re ready to come on by. In most cases we do work with patients and can accept walk-ins.
Most exams take about twenty to thirty minutes depending on your needs and whether additional testing is required.
Insurance and Payments
We work with many major medical and vision insurance plans. Our team can verify your benefits before your visit so you know exactly what to expect. We usually try to make sure insurance is on file
Vision insurance covers routine exams and materials like glasses or contact lenses. Medical insurance applies when the visit is for an eye condition or medical concern such as dry eye, allergies, infections, or sudden vision changes. Medical insurance is helpful and used to bring you back in the event something is discovered upon your routine/initial exam.
We offer self pay options and can give you pricing for exams, treatments, and materials ahead of time.
Yes. Exams, medical visits, glasses, contacts, and dry eye treatments all qualify for HSA and FSA use.
Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses
Most glasses are ready in about one to one to two weeks depending on your prescription and lens options. In some cases we may have your lenses available and can cut and fit frames in as short as an hour.
We can provide rush service on certain prescriptions or lens types. Our team will let you know what options are available when ordering.
Yes. If you have a current prescription from another doctor, we can help you choose frames and lenses here.
We evaluate your eye health, prescription, and lifestyle to determine whether contact lenses are a safe and comfortable option. Many patients can wear contacts successfully with the right fit.
A fitting includes measuring the shape of your eyes, selecting the best lens type, evaluating comfort and vision, and providing trial lenses. Follow up visits may be included to fine tune the fit.
Dry Eye and Medical Services
Common symptoms include burning, stinging, redness, blurred vision, light sensitivity, a gritty sensation, or watery eyes. Many patients notice discomfort while reading, driving, or using screens.
We offer a full range of dry eye care including home therapies, prescription medications, in office treatments like IPL, radiofrequency, and low level light therapy, and advanced eyelid cleaning procedures.
These treatments improve the health and function of the oil glands in the eyelids, reduce inflammation on the surface of the eyes, and help stabilize the tear film. Many patients experience lasting relief after a series of treatments.
A medical visit is appropriate if you have symptoms like pain, redness, flashes, floaters, infection concerns, sudden changes in vision, or ongoing dry eye issues.
Zest is a gentle eyelid and lash treatment that removes biofilm and debris from the lid margins. It helps improve oil gland function and can reduce symptoms related to dry eye and inflammation.
Kids and Family Care
Everyone Eyecare sees children starting at three years old, although some situations call for an earlier visit. If your child’s pediatrician notices anything unusual during a routine checkup, they may recommend an eye evaluation sooner, and we are able to see them at that time.
Signs include squinting, sitting too close to screens, avoiding reading, rubbing their eyes, headaches, or difficulty seeing the board at school.
Yes. We provide options such as special soft contact lenses, orthokeratology, and prescription eye drops designed to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children.
Office Workflow and Communication
Yes. Our system sends automated text reminders, and patients can confirm or reply directly.
We ask that cancellations or rescheduling be done at least twenty four hours in advance so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
Yes. We provide electronic forms that can be completed ahead of time to make your visit smoother and faster.
Prescriptions and Follow Up Care
Glasses prescriptions are typically valid for one to two years depending on state guidelines. Contact lens prescriptions are usually valid for one year.
Reach out to us for a follow up appointment. We want to make sure your condition improves and may adjust your treatment plan if needed.
A follow up is recommended if your symptoms persist, worsen, or if we have started a new treatment that needs monitoring. We recommend follow ups on glasses and contact lenses be made within a 60 day window to ensure proper care.
